If you owned an NFL Football Team, would you have spent the money to sign Julius Peppers?
Please keep in mind that you must follow all the rules in the NFL and stay within budget. You do not have unlimited funds like most people believe they do.
Justify your decision to qualify for BA.
Nope I would not give that much money to a 30 year old DE that likes to talk plays off and has an attitude problem alot of times although he's been talented.
As you said cap space is an issue to and in the NFL it's better to get younger than throw cash at a player already in his 30s who may go downhill after a shot period. He's already had a disappointing 2.5 sack season and has been known for being a disruption as well at times.
I just personally think you could get a cheaper and younger DE who'd be effective and a better help in the long run.
it also depends on your teams needs as well as the type of team you have though but I wouldn't give up that much cash to sign Peppers.
