Infants wearing Green Bay Packers blankets and cheese heads?
A whole group of us saw it on the news. It's not like those infants can decide if the Packers are their favorite team. Just because they might live in Green Bay doesn't mean they have to be fans. We found it a little disturbing. Anyone else? Would love to hear your input.
For that matter an infant can't decide ANYTHING.
So would it be wrong for someone to make them wear a hat in a color they didn't like?
Or to wear a onesie with a duck on the front? It's not like they can decide whether or not they like ducks.
This sort of thing is nothing new. My mother, who is in her eighties, volunteers at a hospital in Florida that always dresses the babies born in holiday things - pumpkin costumes at halloween, little turkey outfits at thanksgiving, Santa hats at Christmas, special Valentines day outfits, green at St. Patricks day, etc. And parents are given the option of getting those outfits or not.
And it's not like a newborn is going to have any memories of it. I doubt any of them will be "permanently scarred" from having to wear a cheesehead hat for a day or so.
Lighten up - it's all just a bit of fun.
